Over the next few weeks I will be adding my thoughts about being an author in Japan. There are some unique challenges, such as translating, but also some unique opportunities, that of the
foreigner's perspective in an interesting culture.
I have been lucky - or was that good planning? - but I have not lost money and I don't have a bathroom full of unsold books! Some of the books have done very well.
The bottom line is that one book is unlikely to make your fortune. The best way is by publishing a variety of books, or at least a lot of titles.
